This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes the types of personal data that Future Lovers, Inc. (“Hivemind,” “we,” “our,” and/or “us”) collects, uses, and discloses from individuals (“you” or “your”) who use our social intelligence platform, including our artificial intelligence-powered messaging service, and any other services provided by us (collectively, the “Service”).

You acknowledge the collection, use, disclosure, procedures, and other processing described in this Privacy Policy. Beyond the Privacy Policy, your use of the Service is also subject to our Terms of Service.

Personal Data We Collect

We may collect a variety of personal data from or about you or your devices from various sources, as described below.

Personal Data You Provide to Us

Account and Waitlist Information. We collect the data you provide to add you to our waitlist and create, update, or manage your account, including, for example, your name, phone number, general location (i.e., city/region), occupation, interests, and how you are connected to other members. If you sign up for the Service via X, we will also receive information from X, such as your X handle and any public profile information associated with your account, including your display name, profile photo, and follower count. If you choose to authenticate with X using OAuth, we will receive certain information from your X account, including your X handle, public profile information, and email address if associated with your account.

Service. We collect the personal data you provide when you use the Service.

Communications. If you contact us directly, including via X DMs, we may receive personal data about you, such as your name, email address, the contents of a message or attachments that you may send to us. When you communicate with us online, our third-party vendors may receive and store these communications on our behalf.

Personal Data We Collect When You Use the Service

Device Information. When you use the Service via SMS or iMessage, we may receive certain information about your device, such as your phone carrier and device type, to the extent made available through the messaging platform.

Usage Information. We automatically receive information about your interactions with the Service, such as the content and timing of messages you send and receive through the Service.

Shared Content. The Service allows you to submit, upload, broadcast, share, expose, or otherwise transmit content, including content of text messages and messages sent through other services (e.g., text, audio, images, video, and other materials) to the Service (“Shared Content”). We will collect any information you choose to provide in the Shared Content.

Messages Between Users. When you communicate with other users through the Service, we and our third-party partners receive the content of the messages you send and receive and information about those messages, such as when it was sent or received.

Your Contacts. If you permit us to access the address book on your device, we may access and store names and contact information from your address book to facilitate invitations and social interactions that you initiate through the Service and for other purposes described in this privacy policy or at the time of consent or collection. We also collect your contacts if you invite them to use the Service or share information or content with them from the Service.

How We Use the Personal Data We Collect

We use the personal data we collect:

To provide, maintain, improve, debug, administer, and enhance the Service;
To understand your preferences and analyze how you use the Service and develop new products, services, features, and functionality;
To personalize your experience on the Service such as by providing tailored content and recommendations;
To train, develop, and improve the artificial intelligence, machine learning, and models that we use to support the Service;
To verify your identity;
To personalize your experience on the Service such as by providing tailored recommendations;
To communicate with you, provide you with relevant updates and other information, provide information that you request, respond to comments and questions, and otherwise provide customer support;
For marketing and advertising purposes, such as developing and providing promotional and advertising materials that may be relevant, valuable or otherwise of interest to you;
To generate anonymized or aggregated data containing only de-identified, non-personal data that we may use for any lawful purposes;
To send you text messages;
To find and prevent fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, or respond to trust and safety issues that may arise;
For compliance purposes, including enforcing our contracts or other legal rights, or as may be required by applicable laws and regulations or requested by any judicial process or governmental agency; and
For other purposes for which we provide specific notice at the time the information is collected.

How We Disclose the Personal Data We Collect

Partners and Affiliates. We may disclose any information we receive to our current or future affiliates for any of the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Vendors and Service Providers. We may disclose any information we receive to vendors and service providers retained in connection with the Service.

AI Service Providers. We may disclose information we receive to vendors that provide artificial intelligence services, including chatbot providers, in order to provide you with the Service.

User Content. The Services is a social service in which you can enjoy and share content. The content you post to the Service may be disclosed to other users of the Service. We are not responsible for the other users’ use of available information, so you should carefully consider whether and what information to provide or how you identify yourself on the Service.

As Required By Law and Similar Disclosures. We may access, preserve, and disclose your information if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to:

Comply with law enforcement requests and legal process, such as a court order or subpoena;
Respond to your requests;
Protect your, our, or others’ rights, property, or safety;
Protect against legal liability; or
Investigate fraud or other unlawful activity.

For the avoidance of doubt, the disclosure of your information may occur if you post any objectionable content on or through with the Service.

Merger, Sale, or Other Asset Transfers. We may transfer your personal data to service providers, advisors, potential transactional partners, or other third parties in connection with the consideration, negotiation, or completion of a corporate transaction in which we are acquired by or merged with another company or we sell, liquidate, or transfer all or a portion of our assets.

Consent. We may also disclose your information with your permission.

Your Choices

Account Deletion. You may request the deletion of your account by contacting us at privacy@futurelovers.com.

Marketing Communications. You can opt out from our promotional SMS messages by replying “STOP” to our message.

Do Not Track. There is no accepted standard on how to respond to “Do Not Track” signals, and we do not respond to such signals.

Third Parties

The Service may contain links to other websites, products, or services that we do not own or operate or permit you to integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. Please be aware that this Privacy Policy does not apply to your activities on these third-party services or any data you disclose to these third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any data to them.

Security

We make reasonable efforts to protect your data by using security measures designed to safeguard the data we maintain. However, because no electronic transmission or storage of data can be entirely secure, we can make no guarantees as to the security or privacy of your data.

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal data from children under 18 years of age, and no part of the Service is directed to children. If you learn that a child has provided us with personal data in violation of this Privacy Policy, then you may alert us at privacy@futurelovers.com.

International Visitors

The Service is hosted in the United States (“U.S.”) and intended for visitors located within the U.S. If you choose to use the Service from the European Union or other regions of the world with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, then please note that you are transferring your personal data outside of those regions to the U.S. for storage and processing. We may also transfer your data from the U.S. to other countries or regions in connection with storage and processing of data, fulfilling your requests, and operating the Service. By providing any information, including personal data, on or through the Service, you consent to such transfer, storage, and processing.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We will post any adjustments to the Privacy Policy on this page, and the revised version will be effective when it is posted.
